The following lists include all HSK words of HSK levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.

These HSK word lists have been updated to comply with the new HSK exam (revised in 2010). The main difference to the former HSK words is that the new HSK vocabulary includes more terms that are used in today's modern language. Accordingly, some less frequent terms have been eliminated from the HSK exam. Learning words for the (new) HSK exam will therefore help you get further "in real life" as well.

The importance of the HSK exam is particularly high in the academic world (foreigners planning to study at a Chinese university), but also for foreigners that are looking for a Job in China.

The following Chinese-English word lists from the new HSK exam (as revised in 2010) include Pinyin, Chinese characters (simplified) and English translations and can be downloaded as PDF files from the table below.

*Each word list contains only the words that are additionally required for the respective HSK level. For example, if you need to learn all words required for HSK level 3 (B1), you need

-the word list of HSK level (B1) with additional 300 words
